Guest house "Les Méans"
This historic 12th century residence was originally occupied by monks of the Chalaisian order.
Located in a hamlet in the Ubaye valley, it is surrounded by mountains and forests.
The renovation of this former presbytery was carried out by favoring ecological materials such as: stone, lime, wood...; while including the latest environmental technologies such as the use of wood pellet heating and solar hot water.
The estate, because of its geographical location, will ensure you a peaceful stay surrounded by nature.
Sheltered by its old stones with a very sunny exposure, including a magnificent garden of approximately 3000 m², the entire property is there to offer you comfort, rest and tranquility.
The guest rooms and suites are tastefully furnished. With a surface area of approximately 25 m², each has a neat and warm decoration.
An unobstructed view of the mountains accompanies each room. The large main room on the ground floor has beautiful vaults with a large open fireplace. This is accompanied by a breakfast room also under vaults, the whole of the house is served by a central staircase in original larch wood and other individual entrances...
